CYBER INTELLIGENCE TASK FORCE (CITF)

The RIC One Cyber Intelligence Task Force exchanges information, data, and knowledge related to possible or known cyber concerns to support the protection of NYS school districts’ data and the reliability of districts’ technology infrastructure and applications. Using intelligence and cyber security specialists expertise, the team works together to support response and recovery needs associated with cyber incidents.

The Cyber Intelligence Task Force consists of one (1) primary representative from each of the 12 RICs. A secondary backup contact is also identified from each center. The CITF is led by (2) RIC Directors. Contact information is outlined on page 2 of this resource.

Assist educational agencies affected by a cyber incident.
Facilitate communication between educational agencies and cybersecurity government partners.
In response to new cybersecurity threats and/or incidents, as requested, conduct briefings for the RIC Directors, NYSED, government partners, and/or other stakeholders.
Work in partnership with the RIC Directors to develop relevant and timely field communications related to the cybersecurity threat landscape and/or cybersecurity incidents impacting NYS schools.
